💳 Digital Payments via Zelle

CAWG now supports Zelle as a secure, digital payment method for approved member transactions. This option is available immediately for all squadrons, enabling easier collection of squadron dues, donations, and pre-approved fundraising.

✅ Approved Uses

Zelle payments are allowed for the following:

• Squadron dues

• Donations

• Fundraising (must be pre-approved by the Wing Commander via the CAWGF29 activity approval process)

📌 Maximum payment amount: $500
📌 No approval required for dues or donations
📌 Fundraising events must be pre-approved before accepting funds

🧾 How to Pay Using Zelle

1. Open your bank's app that supports Zelle and select “Pay Bills” or “Send Money with Zelle.”

2. Scan the CAWG Zelle QR Code (see below or download PDF).

3. Choose payment purpose: Select "Paying bills or a known small business".

4. Enter the amount (≤ $500).

5. In the "Message to Recipient" box, include:

   • Unit Charter Number (e.g., PCR-CA-144)

   • Payment purpose (e.g., Dues or Donation)

6. Confirm payment purpose: Choose “Donating to a cause or charity.”

7. Acknowledge the transaction and submit the payment.

🧾 After Payment – (For Unit Finance Officer)

To ensure your squadron receives the funds:

1. Submit a CAWGF3 Deposit Summary to the Wing FMA (Finance Management Assistant) email.

2. Use the following account codes on the CAWGF3:

   • 5310000 – Member Dues

   • 5412010 – Contributions – Unrestricted (for donations)

Once submitted, Wing Finance will move funds from the CAWG Zelle account to your unit’s Wing Banker account.

📌 Important Notes

• Do not accept Zelle payments for fundraising unless your event is approved via the CAWGF29 process.

• All payments must include your squadron's charter number in the message field.

• Zelle does not offer buyer protection—ensure accuracy before sending.
