About Us

Civil Air Patrol San Diego Cadet Squadron 144 is located in San Diego County, California, in Group 8 of the California Wing of Civil Air Patrol

We are proud to be a California Wing Cadet Squadron Of The Year for 2005, 2006, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. We were also a CAP Squadron of Merit for 2006.

As a composite squadron, our membership consists of senior members 18 years of age and older and cadet members between 12 and 21 years of age. Our Squadron contributes to all three of the core Civil Air Patrol programs: Aerospace Education, the Cadet Program, and Emergency Services. To learn more about our programs, please click here. San Diego Cadet Squadron 144 holds its meetings at the California Air National Guard Base, home of the 147th Combat Communications Squadron, CA ANG.

This facility is located at 7288 Convoy Terrace, San Diego, CA 92111-7901.

Visitors to meetings must notify SM Sean D. Greene via email at: sean.greene@cawgcap.org or phone:  (619) 395-8587 NO LATER THAN Monday before 12:00 PM, so that appropriate notice and information can be provided to security personnel at the base.

This is a secured U.S. Air Force facility, and our privilege to meet here depends upon our following certain procedures. The heightened state of alert requires that all members arrive between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Meetings begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday and conclude by 8:45 p.m. This schedule will remain flexible, to accommodate the CA ANG personnel — please check the calendar page on this website for the most current information.
